Accelerated Innovations for Rural Development Trust (AIRDT) is a Kenyan based not-for profit organization established in 2021 and headquartered in Nairobi. The organization seeks to empower communities to have improved lives and livelihoods through innovative sustainable interventions. The Trust collaborates and partners with like-minded strategic development partners, governments, the private sector and local and international organizations in delivering impactful projects. AIRDT is committed to impacting the lives of 1 million people by 2028 through various interventions across our pillars.
Goal: The main goal of the Trust is to engage in innovative and evidence based programs that promote food security and nutrition, youth employment and job creation, enhanced care to environment, access to markets for small holder producers and better healthcare for the poor communities in Kenya.
In achieving the main objective/goal, the Organization has the following specific objectives:
Promote smarter agri-food systems that are more productive, more integrated, less wasteful and more profitable, inclusive and sustainable
Facilitate skills development to enhance youth and women employability
Enhance access to markets for rural small holder producers
Improve access to healthcare by promoting sustainable health systems
Promote sustainable environmental management practices aligned to current day environmental issues.
Conduct research on sustainable solutions to identified needs and implement the findings through innovative and impactful approaches
