Climate Change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns that are either natural, or man-made. Empirical evidence however, indicate that a large proportion of these effects are caused by human activity which primarily include; burning of fossil fuels (like coal, oil and gas), which produce heat-trapping gases and uncontrolled disposal of industrial waste among others. AiRDT is committed to making a contribution to the current global effects of Climate Change and creating a better world for future generations.
In order to achieve this,
- AiRDT engages in policy debates aimed at influencing Governments to enact environmental friendly policies aimed at creating a balance in the ecosystem.
- At the regional level, AiRDT is involved in developing strategic partnerships whose objective is to initiate national/regional environmental management programs that contribute to the bigger global agenda.
- AiRDT is equally committed to working towards a change in a generational mindset by supporting schools and institutions of higher learning to engage in a range of environmental management programs.
- At grassroots level and more so household, AIRDT is engaged in developing and implementing simple interventions that addresses issues of green energy and educating the communities on Climate Change in a simplified understandable language.
